Purchasing Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide:
It used to be fairly easy to find 35% Food Grade H2O2 in local health food stores, but that has changed over the years.
Nowadays you can sometimes find higher concentrations at local hydroponic supply or aquarium and/or pond stores, so, if you want to pick it up locally, that’s a good place to look for it.
But most often these days, if you want anything over the 3% drug store variety of hydrogen peroxide, you need to purchase it online and have it shipped to you directly.
One thing to know is that all 35% Hydrogen Peroxide requires HazMat shipping procedures which may cost a bit extra, and which ensure the safe transport of the hydrogen peroxide. Lower concentrations (such as 3, 8, 9 or 12% solutions). do not require hazmat shipping. Of course the 35% solution goes a lot further, as you need so much less of it. 🙂 We usually only have to buy it once a year.
